What is X-Ray? X-Ray is a reference and calculator app for X-ray physics, diffraction, and spectroscopy — element X-ray data, energy/wavelength/d-spacing conversions, attenuation, and emission/absorption line lookups. It is a scientific reference tool, not a medical, diagnostic, or radiation-measuring device.

Does it need an internet connection? No. X-Ray works entirely offline. You can use it on an airplane, in the field, or inside a shielded experimental hutch with no signal.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device? X-Ray is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account. On a new device, sign in with the same Apple Account and download X-Ray again from the App Store — there is no second charge for the same app on the same account. Family Sharing is supported where enabled.

I bought it on my iPhone — is it free on my iPad too? Yes. X-Ray is a universal purchase across iPhone and iPad. The Mac version is a separate purchase, following the usual App Store convention for Mac apps.

How do I report a bug or request a feature? Email support@beamline.tech with a short description, your device model, and your OS version. Screenshots help. Feature requests are genuinely welcome and shape future updates.

How often is the app updated? X-Ray receives regular maintenance for bug fixes, security, and compatibility with new versions of iOS and macOS, plus periodic feature improvements.

Do you collect any of my data? No. X-Ray contains no analytics, tracking, or crash reporting and uses no third-party code. See the privacy policy.
